Why is Don Wells in jail? Summer Wells’ missing father writes a letter to the ‘kidnappers’.
Who is Summer Wells and what has happened to her?
Summer Wells has been in the news since she went missing from her home last year. Her father recently made headlines after writing a state atonement letter addressed to “the person or persons responsible”.
Don Wells served a sentence of imprisonment for an unrelated arrest, which was later followed by the mysterious disappearance of his daughter. There he was on parole at one time.
“You have not only crushed Summer’s heart and taken her away from her mother and father, who love her dearly,”
The family told investigators that they last saw her on June 15, 2021, at their home on Ben Hill Road in Rogersville, when she went out with her nanny to water the plants.
The parents claim they believe the suspect kidnapped her from their 11-acre property and seduced the girl outside.
According to the letter, the couple lost their jobs under the circumstances of their abduction and later found it difficult to find employment.
“You see, the public holds us accountable,” he said. “I’m not sure we’ll ever find work again. Nobody wants to hire my wife, and I’ve been fired from my job for 13 years.”
He pleaded for the return of his daughter.
“We can lose everything,” he continued. “When you kidnapped our daughter, you took our lives.”
“Mr. Don Wells has sent a letter to his daughter, Summer Moon—Utah Wells, along with a letter to the person(s) who may be near him,”
“These letters have been conducted and are going to be posted in the coming days. We ask that these letters be given the greatest respect.”
Both Samar’s parents have criminal history. Her aunt had also gone missing a decade ago.
The film also acknowledged lingering concerns about the letters and their intended purpose.
according to sources
“These letters are not intended to manipulate law enforcement or the US legal system,” the video message said.
“Individuals who make these claims and choose to examine these papers for ‘nefarious intent’ in the opinion of this editor, should be avoided. There is a humane way of analysis.”
