Crash involving pedestrian blocks lanes at Montopolis, Riverside intersection
AUSTIN (KXAN) – A crash involving pedestrians blocked several lanes Monday morning at the intersection of Montopolis Avenue and E. Riverside Drive in southeast Austin.
Austin Travis County EMS It said it was called to the scene of the crash where a pedestrian was hit by the vehicle and an adult was taken to hospital with serious injuries just before 6am.
The Austin Police Department told KXAN that the driver remained at the scene.Officers were still at the crash site as of 6:30 a.m.
Austin Transportation Said several lanes were blocked at the intersection. Drivers should consider alternative routes.
