Local groups to host forums for City of Austin 2022 races
AUSTIN (KXAN) — All six Austin chambers of commerce are joining forces to give voters a better understanding of where candidates stand on issues ahead of the Nov. 8 election.
According to Thursday’s Austin Chamber of Commerce Announcementthe Candidate Forum starts Monday and runs through October 18.
Here is the timetable and Parliament area map.
- Mayor: Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Austin Central Library (710 W. Cesar Chavez St.) You can sign up for the Mayor Forum here.
- Zone 1: October 6 at 6:30 pm ACC Eastview Campus (3401 Webberville Rd.)
- District 3: October 18 at 5:30pm St. Edward’s University (3001 S. Congress Ave.)
- District 5: September 21 at 5:30pm Ann Richards School for Women’s Leadership (2309 Panther Trail)
- District 8: September 23 at 5:30 pm Clint Junior High School (4801 Monterey Oaks Blvd)
- District 9: September 30 at 5:30pm ACC Rio Grande (1212 Rio Grande St.)
The Candidate Forum is a partnership between Greater Austin, Austin LGBT, Greater Austin Hispanic, Greater Austin Asian, Greater Austin Black, and the Austin Youth Chamber of Commerce.
Early voting begins on October 24.
