Early Life, Family & Education
On October 2, 1951, Sting was born to his parents in Wallsend, United Kingdom. His father’s name is Earnest Matthew Summer and his mother’s name is Christian Audrey. Sting’s father was a milkman and his mother worked as a hairdresser. Sting also has three younger siblings- one brother and two sisters. The names of his sisters are Angela and Anita Sumner. His brother’s name is Philip Sumner.
Sting attended the St. Cuthbert’s Grammar School for his high school education. He later joined the University of Warwick and Northumbria University, which was originally known as the Northern Counties College of Education.
Career
Sting was an important member of the rock band Police. The other important band members include Steward Copeland and Henry Padovani. The band rolled out many hit songs until it was dismantled in 1983. Most popular works of the band include titles such as Ghost in the Machine, Reggatta de Blanc, Synchronity, Zenyatte Mondatta, and Outlandos d’Amour.
